I see the Birds STILL do not have the 2010 schedule on their website! The league has the day to day schedule for all the teams, and the Saints have it up on their site. I guess there is no rush, but it would still be nice to see it.

John is out as GM, that is very sad because he was very good to us. But I just hope the new owners can start having the success that the Stampede have. But time will tell.

Hey A Pole Gang:
i see we won again on SUNDAY - we Canadians have changed the luck for the rest of the season you just watch.
Looked like an exciting finish! Wish we could have stayed for the third game. Thanks for the fun and don't forget we own the bean bag board - we'll be back.
Saw the Birds play the Wingnuts July 25th. We lost 7-0. I see they have'nt been much better since. That makes them 0-2 both games I've seen this year. The Wingnuts have a nice old stadium. Astroturf infield, grass outfield. The field really angles off toward the stands. I'm sure that's for drainage. We sat first row right down from the Bird's dugout. The Wingnuts have a strange policy when it comes to their concessions. You have to get a debit card when you enter the stadium and put whatever you intend to spend on the card. They won't take cash! If you have money left over you can cash it out after the game. We stopped at the souvenier stand after the game and a couple of kids tried to buy a $6.00 baseball but they would'nt take their cash. They had to have a debit or credit card.
Jokingly I thot, maybe these kids they hire can't make change so they have to do the debit card!
Now, I have'nt been to the Birdcage in awhile so, do they do anything similar? I know they jacked up the prices a few years ago. Beers were $6.00 at Wichita, but at least it was a big beer!
Overall we had a great time. Tim May and his girlfriend came down from SF to meet us. Lots to do there, they have really fixed up their downtown warehouse district, lots of sports bars.
Good to see Section 'W' has'nt lost anything since I left! Keep up the good work! Whenever you get the opposing players to notice you you've done your job! Stay classy, A-Pole Gang!
